FAVSD meetings are held monthly on the second Tuesday night of the month from 6:30-8:30 pm. Each meeting includes an educational presentation on African violets by guest experts or club members, and meetings conclude with members sharing plants and leaves. For location of meeting or for more information about upcoming meeting or events, please email the webmaster (webmaster@favsd.org) or use the form on the “Contact Us” page (Click here: Contact Us!)

The FAVSD annual show and sale usually takes place in the spring of the year. The multiple submissions are arranged by category, and exemplary plants in each category win best in show. The violet sale provides a friendly opportunity for visitors to buy African Violets and growing supplies, and club members are available to help interested shoppers prepare their leaves for propagation. This event is free to the public.
The FAVSD workshop and sale is held annually in the summer. Invited experts present on multiple topics relating to African violets (e.g., growing different violet species, care, lighting, insects, hybridization, soil amendments). The workshop is free for attendees, and the violet sale is always a big draw.
