We are a group of men and women who have a common interest in growing, showing and sharing with others the world’s most popular house plant, the African Violet.
NOTICE – NEW MEETING LOCATION, DATES & TIMES
Our next meeting will be in September of 2016. The club meets monthly from September through May. The summer is free of monthly meetings in order to give members an opportunity to spend time with family, friends and to partake in planned trips or vacations.
Although the information below indicates the club meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at the North Branch Library in Denton, Texas, our normal meeting space at Good Samaritan on Hinkle Drive in Denton, Texas was in the process of being remodeled throughout 2015 and a portion of 2016. An update of meeting date, venue and meeting program will be posted as soon as information becomes available.
- We’re now meeting on the 2nd Monday of each month. Library Conference Rooms.
- Our meetings start at 6:45 and conclude at 8:45 p.m.
- North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St., Denton, TX 76209.
- Guest are always welcome!
Program – To be determined. Generally, the first meeting is centered around basic violet care due to having a roster filled with new members who have a lot of questions about growing beautiful African violets.
Our next big event is the much anticipated and highly attended – 11th Annual FAVSD Summer Workshop & Plant Sale on Saturday, June 25, 2016. The sales area will not open until 10:30 a.m. For more details, visit the “Upcoming Events” tab at the top of this webpage.
We invite you to be our guest at an upcoming meeting or big event – we love seeing new faces and having the opportunity to share our passion for the hobby with others.
